I have a 1995 yamaha blaster and a couple weeks ago i took a jump and landed on the front tires pretty hard. Ever since then the front brakes havent been working right. When I use them to stop they make a loud noise and lock up. Some advice would help.

1995 yamaha blaster, paul turner pipe and silencer, rear holeshot tires

i have a 2000 blaster and my brakes do the same, but mine just from sand and mud getting in them. i'd take them apart and clean them up really good and see if that helps any. if not you might wanna readjust them or go farther into them and replace pads, or convert to hydraulic. but i'd try cleaning them first. later

i`m not sure but landing on them "hard" may have bent your hubs? i don`t know just a sugestion
by the way if they are warped you can expect to spend about $100.00 each

There is also a good chance that the spring has become un-done so to say...there is a washer-like spacer that should hold the spring taught. Give it a look.
I can check the microfiche when I get home later.

They are probably just dirty. I have a 2000 Blaster and mine will do that after I get them wet and muddy.

Mine stopped working about a week ago it seems everytime i use the parking brake the lever pulls back all the way to the grip and they dont work but i just loosened the cable checked the equalizer and tightened it back up and they work fine now. Does anyone know of a parking brake block off assembly and who makes them i have seen the by k&k for 400exz' but that is it. latet

Try cleaning them!, if that doesnt work replace the pads and check your cables.
