To all the owners of 2001 Banshees

You can be convicted of "motor vehicle theft" or "possession of stolen property" if you purchase an item, far below its actual value, if it is in fact stolen and a reasonable person would have known it to be sold at a significantly reduced price.
Therefore, buyer beware! If it seems like a deal that is too good to be true, write the Vehicle Identification Number and Engine Number down. Call your local police department and ask them to run a stolen check on both numbers. If either number is removed or altered, it is already illegal to be in possession of it (at least in Arizona).
Remember, if it turns out to be stolen, some poor soul is out there, minus his Banshee. That sucks! This by itself makes it not worth anyone getting a "great deal" on one. It might also keep you outa jail!
Personally, I'll earn it before I buy it!

I had my sisters boyfriend try to get me a deal at Gibsonia, the owner Dave was gonna do it but he told him he didnt have one in stock and would have to order one. I went there the other day to get oil and what not and went upstairs and what do you know there was a Banshee sitting there and i asked the guy how long he had them and he said a couple months. I just got mine a couple of weeks ago so he did have one but he didnt want to sell it so cheap. I got mine at Lojaks in Tarentum, no one came with in 500 to 1000 dollars to them. With tax and title it came to 5,663 not a bad deal considering everyone elses price, and the people are real cool too. E-mail me back if you have any questions.

Yo man 2400 bucks is a good deal for a banshee, I used to have an 87 banshee and it required alot of repairs. But you usually spend alot more money when you get an older atv. If I was in your situation, I would buy it right away. Banshee's are the most exhilirating atv's to ride especially when you hit the powerband in 2nd gear. Though sadly I sold mine which was a mistake and now I have a DS650. Though I definitely want to buy another banshee. Oh by the way, if you aren't very smart when it comes to fixing atv's, I wouldn't suggest trying to fix it. Tighting the chain is a pain especially when you start stripping bolts like I did.
