Yamaha warrior oil change

Question Yamaha warrior oil change

I got a 2000 Yamaha warrior last weekend and I am changing the oil today.What weight do I use and is one quart enough or do I need 2 quarts?

i have the same atv and i use 10w30. It takes 2.5 quarts. U changing your oil filter 2?

Is 2 quarts not enough?will it hurt the engine if I have 2 and not 2.5?

it requires 2.5. that is what my clymer manual calls for. however, if you take the oil filter out and clean it, it takes 3

Yea it takes 2.5 quarts and you should always put the right amount of oil in any engine. 10w30 yamalube is what I run in mine.

Yeah, you probably shouldn't just run 2 quarts unless you want to burn the engine up. It takes 2.5 without a filter change or 2.8 quarts with a filter change.

Exclamation oil change on warrior!

use 2 and half quarts with filter also only use oil for 4 cycle motorcycle due to wet clutch(not automotive oil will make clutch grab bad!)
