we have an 88 warrior iv been working on all year,i put a new starter clutch on it in july and iv had nothing but problems ever since.if i do get it started it runs fine but even after a short 5 or 10 minute ride it usually wont start back up,no matter what . but one of the kids noticed if you blow air into the gas tank overfow tube somtimes that will help it start.at this point it seems like a fuel flow problem at start up.iv cleaned the carb out several times,but im not sure what to clean or replace next.

 

next i would check fuel filter(s) if it has any. they might be in the tank. the tank cap vent. mabey its clogged. and your A/F ratio if your running too lean.

 

When was the last time you checked the valves?

 

iv checked the valves and cam timing,one of the last things i did was changed the fuel petcock and fuel line just out of desperation{i also dumped the fuel tank and rinsed it out just in case}this thing is a real head scratcher.
