Default reverse rev-limiter 05 Kodiak 400

Hi!

Just bought a 2005 Kodiak 400. Good shape, runs perfect! 4 x itp mud lite on it. Pulls everything I need @ my cottage and hunting camp. I own it since 2006 and was not so excited about the rev-limiter in reverse because it is a pain to pull something when in reverse...
A few weeks ago, one of my father buddy came with his grizzly 660 silver tip... I had the chance to try it and it is a hell of a difference with the kodiak... anyway...this bike have a override switch... for reverse rev-limiter cancel...
I WANT ONE !!! or was wondering if someone could help me to locate the switch that activate the limiter...is it close to the gear selector is it in the tranny... I wouldn't care cutting some wires to by-pass the system and have the power I need to pull backwards...

Having in mind that it will also give me full speed reverse... I'll use it properly

if you look at the bundle of connectors on the left side of the machine tied up to the frame right where the side panel meets the seat, there will be a green wire covered in red sleave heading towards the rear, cut that wire and solder two wires off of that one, then one will continue on its normal path and the other you will ground. PM me if you need further help, or a pic.

I have thought about it but its there for a reason, so you dont go grinding up gears shifting from forward to reverse or into park. i do belive there in an adjustment in the actual cable somewhere where you can make it so you dont have to press so hard on the pedal. IMHO i would keep the interlock there for its purpose, but if you can find a way to remove it, im sure quite a few people would appreciate that information!

I just used a piece of wire to hold the cable out that comes from the foot brake and runs to the shifter on my 450. I assume they are the same. This way you can always remove it and put it back to original.
