Carb leaking out overflow/2001 Big Bear 400

I put a carb. kit and set float level in my Big Bear 400 because of a leaking overflow problem. I bought this Yamaha used with this problem and don't know what has been done to it previously. After I installed carb kit I have the same problem of the fuel leaking out the overflow. I am a retired automotive master tech, so rebuilding carbs is no big deal and I know from experience where the problem areas are. Having said that, I still have the fuel leaking from the overflow as if the float was set too high, the float is binding, float is fuel logged, or the needle doesn't shut off the fuel.
I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Having thought about this for a day or so, the absolute only way fuel can come out the overflow tube is if the float level is too high, or a dirty or defective needle valve and seat. Since it was a new needle and seat, I ruled that out. It had to be the float level. I reset the float to a slightly lower level and that took care of the problem.
Hope this helps others with the same or similar problem.
