Default Banshee wont start after rebuild

2001. motor is professionaly rebuild wiht vitos stock crank and weisco pistons. it was rebuilt do to a thrown rod. i bought the bike liek this hoping to make a deal. the reason of motor damage was not known. it could have been a carbaration problem or possible a bearing. after cleaning the carbs and reinstaling everything kicks over smooth but not getting fuel into cylinders. fuel will drain out of bottom of carb though. does anyone have any experience or links advise of what to look for or at first? thanks in advance!

Do you mean you are taking it apart and checking or it's coming out by itself? If it's just pouring out than I think it's probably coming out the overflow which means that something is up with the float. That would keep it from starting to.

If you have fuel in the carbs and its not firing...that sounds like an electrical issue. A few quick ways to check for spark..a little starting fluid with new plugs straight in the cylinders and kick it.If you have spark it should at least fire over. If not then disconnect the TORS..all of it....that is all garbage anyways and is a known problem for loss of spark out of no where.Disconnect the control unit, the carb switches, and the throttle switch (the parking brake switch is wired to the CDI)

If the tors isn't the issue it could be a bad coil or stator.I'd bet my money on the tors/parking brake though. Let us know how it goes

ok sorry for such the wait guys. i have been busy, and having computer problems. i got to mes with it for a while though today. after putting new plugs and checking the carbs once again it wouldnt fire on its own. i ut a little bit of premixin each cylinder and it ran on what was in the cylinder. somehow when it got tore down, the reeds got mis marked on top to bottom. this is my first banshee, so i know this is a quick easy answer, bu do the side with the 2 little fin marks go faceing upward or downward. when it ran they were faceing upward. and all this was done with all the tors plugged in like factory.

the reed petals are supposed to face down, pretty positive. guess that your problem with them flipped the other way there no way the fuel can be sucked in.
