Default Oil & Gas Leaking Kodiak

My oldest teenage son had the 2004 Kodiak 450 out in the woods trail riding and put it in the garage without shutting the gas off.

Woke up this morning and went in the garage to find a puddle of engine oil with the smell of gas all over the garage floor BEAUTIFUL!!!

It appears to be leaking down the overflow tube. Sooooo.....what's next change the engine oil? Why did/does this happen? Is there another area I need to be concerned with?

Thx.

Well it appears that the needle & seat stuck open and drained half the fuel into the crankcase.

Drained the oil, changed the the oil filter, and we're good to go.

Need to pull the carb and clean it next.
