Default 2003 660 wont start

Im looking into this project quad & the owner says it got good compression the carbs leak, but the engine wont start.. it spins over just fine, but I am unsure if it has a spark or not.... any suggestion about what the problem might be ?

i would see if it has spark before buying it. a new CDI box can go for up to 400$, and a new coil, and stator isnt cheap either. check for spark, if it has spark try to run it enough with the headlights on to tell if it charges. if it does this, buy it. several things can cause it not to start though. the carb sucking air/leaking would make it hard/if it would start at all. i'll just leave with this. if it has spark, it can be fixed. lol

too late picked it up for a grand, so now starter spins over, but not the engine,? I think it is the starter clutch, but not sure if i should replace 52 t gear as well ?
