yamaha carb problem

Default yamaha carb problem

i have a 1979 yamaha mx 100f i am restoring and im almost done i had it running and it ran a little rough so i took the carb off and cleaned it and tried it again and it ran good the next day i went out and tried to start it again and it started and died now it wont start. i have good spark wat can i do to get it to start.

hello; i would start by makeing sure your fuel tank is clean.then check the float hight in the carb is set right.also clean all jets and pasages in the carb body and blow them out good with air.

X2 on checking float height. Mine was flooding so it would run nice when it was cold and had a rich mixture then it would die. It takes about all off a half an hour to get the float within spec and now i couldnt get mine to stall if i tried.
