Possible bad fuse. Check the fuses located under the seat. This happened to me awhile back and I had a bad fuse, so I replaced the fuse and the flashing went away.

ok, ill check my fuses, its just weird because it only happens when i warm it up with the choke on ( in park), and when its in reverse the light stays lit, someone told me this could be a possible overheating sign?

Default Flashing Light

I have experienced the same thing on my 08 Big Bear...light flashes when I have left it warming up with choke on...all I could figure was that it was a sign that the choke is on for too long. Once I shut the choke off and let it idle down and move the quad the light returns to normal. Never really concerned me I guess just watch how long you let it run with choke on!

All wolverines do it. Some other ATVs probably do it to. It means that the rev limiter has been reached. Basically it's telling you to stop reving the engine so much/high in neutral.

Does it blink when in idle? Or does it blink when you rev the engine? If it is blinking in idle then you probably have the choke on which is no big deal just take the choke down a little. If the choke is not on then yes, you probably should turn down the idle speed just a little.

Flashing reverse is a speed sensor problem on midsize yamahas. If you leave choke on when warm it will do it also and you just have to turn off and restart and the light goes out. If it flashes when not idleing and diff lock and rev overide is working then the sensor is probrably bad.
