Default Want to swap front wheels w/ brakes; info needed

Morning all;
I have 2 Yamaha Moto 4 YFM80; the one I am working on is a 1986; the other one is for parts, a 1987 (although there is a good chance I can get this one running also); the 1987 was "rode hard and put away wet" for years by a guy that did no maintanenence at all; plus it does not run for reasons unknown. The 1986 does run, at an idle, and burbles and dies when given gas; the choke doesnt work. Thus I chose the 1986 as the best one to get running.

Now a question; I noticed that the 1987 has front wheel brakes to each wheel; and rear wheel brakes; the 1986 has only rear wheel brakes. I read the Clymer repair manual briefly on this so I have a rough idea, very rough, on what has to be done. If it can be done, how hard would it be to take the front wheel brakes and wheels off the 87 and swap them with the 86 wheels that has no brakes? Is this going to be a ball buster that will take lots of hours to do; or a pretty simple job that wont take tons of hours?
Ideas, suggestions, and some experienced knowledge needed before I tackle this.
Thanks to all.
Ken

Unless the front end parts are nearly identical, a arms, tie rods, spindles, etc, it could be a bit of a problem, but only 1 year apart should not be that different. If it looks like it will be a lot of fabbing, why not pull the motor from the 87, and put the 86 motor in the 87 chassis? just some wiring , a few mounting bolts, and it should be a direct swap.

DUHHH
Now that sure sounds like it would be the SIMPLE way; like the KISS principle, (Keep It Simple Stupid). It seems like my mind is wired to do everything the hard way; I must be the "stupid" talked to in the KISS PRINCIPLE. lol
Thanks for pointing out the obvious to me my friend.
