Question on sand tires
Looking to get opinions reference tire sizes. I currently run 22 12x10 haulers on my Raptor 700. I opted for the 22's because I heard from a guy, that had a friend, that knew a guy, who said, 'run the largest size tire your machine can handle for best performance'. It made since and all the really bad***** machines seem to be using the larger rear tires. Had a conversation at the dunes recently with a guy who explained a smaller, say 20 12x8, tire works better for better tire spin to move the sand. That also made since. Anyone with any ideas, theory's or suggestions in this area. Thanks in advance.

Larger tires will give higher top end but you lose a lot of lower end torque,....
You can feasibly change to larger tires and get similar to factory performance, by adding a larger rear sprocket by a tooth or two.... or even dropping a tooth on the front sprocket..... Go the other direction with the smaller tires and gears.....
