660R01,
I couldn't say for sure if its true the you can idle out the clutch in second gear on a Raptor, becuase I have never ridden one. But, I have ridden with them before, and I have to tell you that they are WAY too high geared! The guys that I have ridden with had a hell of a time just getting it to move up a hill from a dead stop in 1st gear. Let alone letting the clutch out at an idle in second gear!

Assuming your wife does'nt have a lot of riding experience on a high performance quad, you may wnat to re-think getting her a Raptor. An inexperienced rider can no-doubt get into trouble on a Raptor in a heartbeat. A much calmer 400ex would be a better ride for a novice rider wanting a sport machine.
Why not buy YOURSELF a Raptor and her a more sedate machine...or let her ride the xplorer400?
