Default 89 moto 4 350 problems

I recently bought a 1989 yamaha moto 4 350. It has several problems with it that I want to fix and was wondering if anyone else has done this before or knows how to do it thanks. And I know nothing about workin on four wheelers

Problem #1- The electric start doesn't work when you hit it your can hear it clicking but it won't start. Does anyone know what this is and how to and how much it is to fix it.

Problem #2- After you get it cranked it runs good but when you leave it in netruel it will idle down and cut off sometimes after 30 seconds sometimes after 2 min. and a couple times it has cut off when I let off the gas some to switch gears or to turn ect. Again does anyone know what this is and how to and how much it is to fix it.

Problem #3- You have to pull start it but you have to do the deal where you wrap the rope around and pull and wrap and pull off and wrap and pull off.... and it either starts on the first or second pull or doesn't start at all. and again does anyone know what this is and how to and how much it is to fix it.

Thanks

1. Charge the battery, or switch it with a battery that you know is good, and try again.

2. Clean the carb, pay special attention to the jets. Once you get this done, there is an idle screw on the side of the carb, you can fix your low idle this way. (cleaning the carb should be done 1st, this will probably fix the idle problem)

3. Does the line not snap back when you release it?

What he said.

Problem 2 and 3 are one of the same. A clean set up carb will make the ATV start easier.
