I would go with the 300ex if you want clutch but if you don't go with a 250ex. Dont go near a polaris, they do nothing but give you problems. a warrior would be good to.

Excuse me but before you start making false accusations, polaris during the past 6 years has eliminated almost 95% of all problems with their machines. Their not holding the number 2 spot in sales cuz they look pretty (well that too), their holding it cuz of customer satisfaction.

OUCH!!"Battle Ship", "cast iron"...I'd agree that the 400 ex would take the rubber banded trany of a polaris. I have DS 650 and in the snow and ice my friend who is a woman kicks my butt out of the hole. After third my "battle ship" of a quad finally catches up and shuts her down....anyway, the Honda 400 ex is a great bike, my female friend was a first time rider and does great on it. Even without reverse she has had no problems if she gets into a tight trail or otherwise. Finally, it is hard to beat the realiability of the 400 ex.

I'd go with DevRay on this one, the Blaster would be perfect for you its light weight and its a cheap quad and pretty fast, you can take the money you saved from buying another quad and supe it up, theres nothing like the performance and sound of a screaming 2-stroke underneath you.Plus its oil-injected so you dont gotta worry about mixing gas like other 2 strokes.

for once i agree with scramdaddy about the scrambler. if its true about being the same price as a 300EX. i had the chance to ride a 300EX over the last weekend and i was really disapointed with it. but i'm used to my LT and my friends 400EX so i'm sure to a beginner rider a 300EX would also be fine. warriors are pretty nice also.

ps- how old r u?

If I were you I would get the Warrior. They may not but the fastest, but these things can go anywhere you can take them. For lack of better saying they are built like a tank. All you have to do is change the oil and clean the air filter and put some gas in and go. I have had a 99 Warrior for about 2 years now and I still like it. I have put this Warrior through loads of stuff mud, water, and even one fence(don't ask) and the problem I have had is my back tire keeps leaking down. Warriors are great for play and woods machines. Get the Warrior
