Of course it can be done. The problem is the drag of the knobby tires. you need to be on a drag free surface. so take the tires off and get a really wide axle and really wide a-arms and then ride it on the railroad tracks. you have to figure out what speed your banshee will actually be able to turn the high gearing and then get someone to push you up to that speed. the banshee will take over from there. it would also help if you get yourself vacuum wrapped onto the quad so you reduce air drag as well. i would say go for it. about $1500us and you'll be on the news. it's got to be worth it ;-)

What wouldn't Zorro do to beat my Scrambler!!

If he decides to make the attempt...I will get it on film!

I ride with a 100mph Banshee. He has major mods to get it that fast.

Couple of thoughts:

1. You will need road tires. The Banshee I ride with has tires which grow taller when he is pulling the top gears. He ruined a set last year when the nylon cords snapped in the tire.

2. You will carry too much drag. Street bikes are a smooth machine with only 2 tires on the ground, and about the same weight.

I'm sure we could gear my friends Banshee to hit 110 mph, but I think it would be pretty useless otherwise. To get to 120? Turbo, NOX, low drag...
