Make sure its in first gear, make sure its not running rich, make sure you know how to use a clutch,Try reving it really high then let go of the clutch really fast (hold on)

Well first of all thanks for replying to me. Second...I shouldnt be on a quad if I didnt know how to use a clutch! It is not running rich, I think it has something to do with the reverse lever, and yes it is in first gear. Thank you

Did this just start happening, from running fine, or has it been sitting a while? a partly plugged pilot jet will allow you to idle, but may not give you the gas you need to get rolling under load. Another thing is the accelerator pump spring on the warrior/ 95 Wolverine was total junk, mine bogged badly taking off, found the plunger was sticking down, no gas shot getting to the carb. A spring off a clicker ink pen is 5 times stronger than the stock one, and I have not had a problem since. Also, the parking brake switch has been known to go bad, not allowing you to get much above an idle, making the quad miss and sputter on take off, you can unplug it from up by the brake lever and see if it runs different, lots of guys just cut the wires and twist them together to bypass it. Let us know what you find out.

I've experienced this with another Yamaha. Turned out electrical. The parkbrake switch sets a rev limiter/safety function off with cdi box. My wires down the steering column pulled and buggered up the switch or something. It would idle great but act like it was shutting off just above idle driving away and wouldn't rev engaged.

On some Yamahas the reverse/gear position switch can either prevent cranking or set a rev limiter. But it should drive away once started. Hope this helps.
