My 03 kodiak 450 sputters in reverse when I give it any gas, it hasn't happened before but its sat for a long time and the battery died, I don't know if its bad gas or battery related. It will actually run in reverse when the fan kicks in but sputters again when the fan turns off. I'm currently trying to sell it and this problem makes it unsellable...is that even a word?..please help me!!

 

after some searching, It sounds like I have a possible reverse limiter problem?

 

could be the shifter isnt putting the lever all the way in the reverse position. similar thing happened to my girzzly., if its moves in reverse and it sputters then its the reverse rev limiter
