I am trying to set timing on a 1991 YFM 100 Moto4 Champ. I have the service manual and have followed the instructions but I get nothing, I will get a random sputter on occasion but that's it. I have tried rotating the CAM gear a a couple of teeth in each direction and still get nothing. I have compression and good spark. Amount of compression is unknown but I cannot keep the hole closed with my finger. Spark is HUGE!\

I pulled the top end off to inspect it and put new gaskets in as I noticed I had no lower head gasket when I purchased the bike.

I will go back at it in the morning I guess and go tooth by tooth if I need to.
