Bad news guy backed out so I found another warrior heres whats the seller listed ---Up for sale or trade is my built and stupid fast 350 Yamaha Warrior. This quad is 4 stroke and it has thousands in upgrades such as The Works suspension. new Hole Shot tires and aluminum rims, wide Dura Blue rear axle with spacers, Scott grips, wide IDK front arms and much more. When I called he said its bored out to a 426cc, upgraded brakes , stage 3 jets , new Douglas rims,
What you guys think?? We are close to coming to an agreement. What should I look out for being though it's bored?? I can't post pics from my phone but the atv is clean.

I'd want to know who built the 426. Was it a kit from a well known builder? Has it been freshened (new piston)? Dare I say,,compression test?!
I feel that there must have been a cylinder change or a giant sleeve installed in the stock cylinder. I'd bet that the stock cylinder (if it isn't nikasiled) cannot be bored that much. A nikasiled cylinder does not get bored.
Also, knowing what weight rider the shocks are set up for is important. To reset the shocks for another weight rider can be VERY expensive!!!! You just don't ride on shocks that are set up for a different weight.
Stage 3 jets...I have a stage 4 muffler bearing..LOL

All in all, and w/o knowing the cost, it sounds like a fair quad.

I feel bad...I was just kidding about a muffler bearing dude.ALTHO, there is a atv muffler that indeed has discs that you add/remove. It's called a supertrapp.
It was a attempt at sarcasm on the "stage 3 jet" thing. Ya see, jets are jets and finding the right one is what is essentiall. It seems that this fella bought a kit that happened to be called a stage 3 jet kit. I'm sure he did good.
I will say, if you are inexpierienced with quads and wrenching on them, a stock machine may be a better choice.

I've never heard of a 426 kit for a Warrior, I have heard of a 446 kit, I had a Warrior with the 446 kit from FST (four stroke tech Welcome to 4 Stroke Tech, Inc. ). The kit does require a new sleeve, new crank connecting rod, and some machining of the crankcases. You can go back to stock but it would require a boatload of $$$$$$. With that kit and some other mods, it will be the fastest Warrior you have ever seen. I could run with stock YFZ450's in 400ft, but then the 450 would pull away after that. It was fun watching the look on people's faces knowing that a Warrior just ran like that! But that Warrior was nothing but a headache for me.
From my experiences, I would stay away from it. That engine wasn't designed to handle that much power and compression. At 1st, mine blew the head gasket everytime that I rode it. I finally had the head shaved and the cylinder decked and it seemed to run fine after that but I sold it before I put it through a good test.
One of my buddies also had a 446 kit in his Warrior and his ran good and did not blow the head gasket but his always leaked oil out of every gasket on the engine. He replaced his gaskets often just to keep oil in the machine, he even had some kind of special gasket made for the crankcases but that didn't help either.
It really makes no sense to max an engine out like that and lose all of the reliability, when there are factory machines engineered and made these days that are just as fast or faster in stock form. For example, the Honda 400EX, Raptor 660/700, and YFZ450/any 450 quad.

I personallly would leave it alone, if this guy said the internals was the same and you buy regular 350 parts he has no clue what he is talking about. If that really is a 426 kit that is a 76 cc increase so it would have to have a larger bore and a longer crankshaft. That will mean the piston, rings, base gasket, and probably the head gasket will not be the same as a stock 350. The strength of the parts installed has nothing to do with the size of the engine.

Thanks for the info I left it alone like you said geoman he had no clue of what he had or either he was lying so now once again Im looking at a 2000 350 warrior in pretty good shape and a 99 banshee from a local deal both same price just have to decide and after test drive.
