Default Warrior/ Wolverine Problem

Hi all, I have a 1998 wolverine 350. Its been having an ongoing issue. First it was running rich, and no matter what I tried, it still ran rich(dry and carboby plug, not wet). Lately its been only starting if I clean the plug REALLY well, or put a new plug in it. Could the coil be going? Or anything else. Ill try and try to start it for a good while(taking the plug out, cleaning it, spraying gas in the chamber and reinserting the plug), but once I put a new plug in it fires right up.

Ill add, the battery isnt even a year old, although suspect because with the charger hooked up it works better

Sounds like a weak spark honestly, check spark, ohm the stator out its pretty easy just get a manual.

OK I ohmed the stator, coil and plug boot. Her are the results, with the values for whats its supposed to be right after.
Stator: W/G wire to W/R - actual: 486 ohms, Supposed to be: 459-561 ohms
Brown-Green wire - actual 388 Ohm, supposed to be 270-330 Ohms
Coil: Lead terminal to ground: 0.9Ohm, supposed to be .36-.48
Lead term to Spark Pl Boot- actual :10.35 K Ohm, supposed to be 5.44-7.39 K Ohm

Does the last one seem to be out too much(lead to Sp/Pl boot)?
This was all taken at 2 degrees Celcius, Book values at 20 degrees C
Thanks
