Default motor shutting off

Hello, have a 2004, 350 bruin, 2900 km. Motor never been touched, just put in new s-plug. My problem is when on idle, shifting from fwd/rev, the motor gives a "puck" or sputter & shuts off. does restart no problem.( does this frequently) Could it need a valve adjustment or carb adjustment ? or both.any help would be great. thank You.

Thank You, haven't ran it yet,but put some carb cleaner in & a little stablizer. Bike sits alot,so some are saying with the ethanol in the fuel,i may be getting water, going to throw in a little menthal hydrate as well. Going on a run this weekend, so i'll see how it works. Some are saying to use "high test" gas as well. Tks.
