Default Old Yama Problems

2000 wolvarine issues. Just got it. Not experienced . Mechanic years ago on "muscle cars". Feel like a baby. Anyway: Won't start bad weather, put new battery in. Must use charger in start position to help it. @ns: Carb adjustments are backwards. Float positioner is idle on these, what??? Back Brakes stuck on, no rear brakes, master cylinder shot????? I need to release them. Shifts hard, almost need hammer to shift. It has been really cold. Is in unheated garage. Any help uys/ggirls?

I had one the same model and mine was really hard to shift too but i got used to it also the back brakes suck, if i was you take the back caliber off and see if you can get it freed. The carbs are easy on these things about 99 out of 100 i have done, a good cleaning and making sure the float is moving properly and the jets are clean will fix any problem you have. If you have a new battery i would trickle charge it over night or whatever the instructions say but make sure you get a good initial charge and you should have no problem.
