Default 1997 Big Bear 350 carb issues

Hey guys, new to the forums but not new to four wheelers. Been working on them for over 10 years but this one has me stumped. My parents bought the bike brand new and it ran flawlessly forever. The bike sat and the good ol gas that is out there now got to the carb. My dad needed it fixed before I could get to it and so he took it to a shop. Bad things happened and the shop ended up going under but my dad managed to get them to put the carb from their personal big bear on ours...the bike ran again all good. Then it sat up and stopped running. I pulled the carb apart and notice that the float needle was seized with ethanol and so I replaced that with a new one and clean the jets. Now the thing still won't start. I looked at the mixture screw and it was at 1.5 turns out and the needle clip was on the very bottom slot. I have looked all over for stock specs of the carb and can't find anything. I made a list of what settings I have tried and will post it but in the mean time, does anyone know the stock settings for the needle clip, mixture screw, and the approximate setting of the idle screw?

Thanks guys!

ok, awesome...I will check that out.

here are some of the notes that I took while messing with the carb.
needle: bottom slot
afr screw:
1.5 out-idle for seconds on choke
2.0 out- half choke and sputters
2.25 out- starts with no choke and idles with hand over intake
2.5 out- idles with hand over intake
3.0 out- full choke starts

Needle: Middle slot
afr screw:
2.25 out-no start

That link was a link to another place and you had to pay for the manual

Never fiddle with needle settings or float level if the bike suddenly has a problem, it ran right with those settings before so the problem is dirt or water in the carb or something else entirely.

Yup. Didn't mess with te needle setting till after the bike still wasn't working correctly. I have no idea how the bike was running with the afr screw out 1.5 turns and the float needle completely seized up. It's almost as if since the float needle was seized or barely moving, they just leaned out the carb to let it idle. Who knows what exactly that shop did.
