Should I jet 2013 yfz450
Hi I have a 2013 yfz450 carb bike it has ran like crap since I bought it new it started off not starting up with the choke at the dealer I was told it would after it broke in now it boggs out when hill claiming I went to a 13 tooth but still bogs should I jet it I thought it would run good being brand new please any help is appreciated

Even when new, Jetting can be needed on some machines especially high performance motors, which you have.
Odd that it's the same motor that's in the 450 Yamaha motocross bike but its has been EFI for a few years now , but the ATV did not get the same treatment.
My friends new 400 4x4 Suzuki Eiger ran like crap until he jetted it.
He brought it to a guy who knew what he was doing because we had no clue if he should jet larger or smaller. Did not cost much or take long.

Most quads have adjustable main jets. If the plug nose is black and sooty you are running rich, check there are no obstructions in the air filter or snorkel. If it is white the problem is a lean mixture. If it is lean, clean the carb out before changing anything as dirt can get in even a new tank or carb.
