2007 Wolverine 450 smokes on start-up??
Hey fellow riders! Very new to the ATV world please bare with me. I have a 2007 wolverine 450, and on start up it smokes for a few seconds and then it stops smoking. Obviously oil is getting into the combustion chamber, it's not over filled with oil. Any common issues with this particular atv? It has 2400 miles.

There have been posts about Yams doing this on here before, though I think it was the 350 motor. It didn't get solved if I remember. Most likely cause is the valve guide seals leaking, so oil drains down overnight and burns off on startup. However I seem to think new seals didn't cure the previous person's problem. I guess a blown gasket between the oil feed and cylinder may be a cause, I seem to remember a rubber tube round one of the studs to seal this oil gallery.
Just had another thought, if the engine breathers exit into the air box above the air filter, any condensed oil mist will drip down onto the filter overnight. Worth a check, and easier than taking the head off, but does indicate a worn engine.
