Are Renthal Bars Too Tough
#1
Just wondering if anyone has had the same thing happen. I flipped my Raptor over back-wards slowly going up a soft sandy hill, not paying attention, and the Renthal bars were so strong, they did not bend. But the steering shaft did
Has anyone had to buy a new shaft and if so did you buy OEM or aftermarket?

Then bikes must be rougher than ATVs!!!
When I was riding mx, the Renthal bars were pretty weak (I had managed to find other brands little stronger), and would get bent after each fall...hehe.
I haven't crashed severely yet, so I can't tell you.
If you had bought a 400EX, you wouldn't have had those problems, all Raptors are weak from everywhere.

Been there. Done that. The stock stems bend easy. At least mine did. I went to TimmyBoy Designs and had him retube mine in 4130 Chromoly. Excellent craftsmanship. Very pleased with his service. He has cores in stock. Helps reduce down time. I did mine in a couple of hours. Cost about $125.00.
