Default 88 yamaha terrapro

I just bought a Yamaha Terrapro I put a battery in it and it turned over fine but I was unable to get it to run. Only tried about 10 times and then I couldn't get it to do anything. The battery is charged the lights come on but when I hit the start button theres nothing. Is there a safety switch somewhere? This started after I was messing with the diff lock engagement lever?
Thanks for any help

Was it running when you got it?

yes it was. I’m wondering if there’s a switch not made somewhere

he solenoid posts and see if it turns over. Im more familiar with big bear and stuff so not sure on switches for these. does the neutral light come on? If not the big bears have a fuse on the right side frame rail up top. could be a round fuse with 2 red wires on the ends. or it could be a 1"x1" square with a little button on the bottom like a breaker push the button in and try.

you could have a dead spot in the starter also.
