I recently got my 1994 Yamaha big bear 350 going after sitting for years. I installed a new carburetor and it runs great, except on the very high end of the throttle. It accelerates perfect until I’m going up a hill and have the throttle at 3/4 then it starts to sputter. I think just a very minor adjustment would clear it up but I have no experience adjusting the screws. To me it sounds like it’s starving on the high end possibly? Or does it sound like something else? The only adjustment screw I found is on the bottom of the carburetor. Which way will allow a little more fuel in the mix?

I'm not sure if the main jet on the Big Bear carb is adjustable. The screw is for idle mixture, your problem is main jet. If this is adjustable, the needle inside the CD piston will have grooves for the circlip, you move the circlip into a different groove, lift the needle for more fuel. If the needle isn't adjustable, try fitting the main jet from the old carb. It is just possible your new carb float height is set wrong, so check that too.
