Default 97 wolverine 350 stalling issue

Just bought this wheeler and it's stalling when I put it into gear at idle (1st or reverse), or after I get it moving and come to a stop. It starts fast, runs well, shifts easily, idles really smooth (even cold). Feels like it might be a clutch issue. If it sounds like that to you guys, I need to know how to adjust it properly. If it sounds like something else please steer me in the right direction.

Sounds like someone has put the one way clutch in backwards. There have been quite a few posts on here about this problem lately, oddly enough almost all about Yams, though Hondas/Suzukis etc, all use a one way clutch in the middle of the centrifugal one. Put in 1st gear, engine off, roll bike backwards, should roll easily, roll forwards, should now be trying to turn engine, if it is t'other way round, you have the one way clutch backwards.

Thank you for replying. This is my first time using a forum trying to resolve an issue. I checked the conditions you mentioned this morning. It does indeed roll easily backwards and does not roll forwards without turning the engine while in 1st gear.

Right, so one way clutch is OK, only other possibilities are idle speed too fast, or one of the springs in the centrifugal clutch broken or stretched.
