Noisy gears shifting on wolverine

I tried a 1998 wolverine today and i notice that it was noisy while changing gears like a 'claunk' sound every time i was shifting is that normal for that type of atv, i'm driving a 1999 4x4 honda 350 right now and it doesn't do that...
