Default Cam chain fell off bottom sprocket!

I just bought another quad, 2000 warrior and was replacing the valve guide seals due to the fact they were leaking. Somewhere in the process the cam chain fell off of the bottom sprocket, (yes I tied it up with wire but it happened anyway.) I already had the head back on before I even noticed. Anyone have any techniques to get that sucker back on there without tearing stuff apart.

Sometimes just lifting it up will get it back on but often it moves sideways and is not lining up with sprocket so poking with a thick wire and/or turning the crank by hand to get it in line may work (don't forget to put it back to TDC afterwards). If all else fails, taking the LH side case off may give better access than removing head and cylinder again.
