Default Speed Sensor Test

I have a 2005 Grizzly 660. I just replaced my display. Anytime I am moving it reads 0 mph. I have confirmed that the three wires, one ground, one to the CDI, and one to the meter, are good. Is there a way to test the speed sensor?

Only got the Grizzly 550 book but it says, ignition on, use 20v voltmeter, set meter to DC, pos to white wire side, neg to dark blue side and spin the rear wheels slowly while jacked up, voltage should cycle from 0.6v to 4.8v and repeat.

That is useful, thank you. The 660 manual I have completely forgot to mention it. I will give that a try.

Well, that's why the speedometer is at 0. I got 0v all the way around.

Because ignition has to be on, I assume you must have to do this with the sensor plugged in, they do show a strange drawing in the book which I assume is something to enable you to test wires while connected.
