Befuddled - Kodiak 450 idle/choke
#1
I cranked my Kodiak 450 and had to have the choke fully engaged to stay at idle. I read the forum post and watched videos on how to clean the carb. I meticulously tore down and cleaned the carb, pressure washed the gas tank, installed a new petcock, installed a new gas line and put fresh gas in it. It now idles almost with no choke but still requires 1/12 of choke to stay running.
Any ideas where to go from here? Im out of ideas except to take it to the shop.

Surprised it runs at all. I can't see any way you can get the water out after pressure washing, other than leave the tank out in the sun for a week. Take the float bowl off again and check for water droplets in it. Clean the jets in the carb out with compressed air, check you can see through them and blow the passages out too, before re-fitting, rarely, if ever, fails.

Thanks very much...There may be water still in the tank. I will try this.
