How exactly do Reeds help your throttle response and do they help acceleration/top speed at all? any thoughts at all would be appreciated!!

 

I'm pretty sure they do nothing for top speed. The dual stage reeds like Boyesen supposedly help throttle response by the use of a smaller and lighter reed which responds better at low speeds improving throttle response. The larger heavier reed is supposed to be work better at high RPMs.
