Default 2001 yamaha wolverine YFM350 4x4 clutch issues

Reverse works great but when I shift the foot pedal up to forward gears it won't go all the way and engage. This happened when I was riding and the shifter rod connecting pedal to shift arm broke. I replaced this and it now won't shift into forward gears. Is there a breakdown of the clutch case and internals? Thanks in advance!

That is the parts drawing but, seeing as you have worked on them, I would guess either item 34 on the wrong spline or rod 37 not adjusted correctly.

Thank you. I have ordered new clutch parts since I have already opened the case and figured I'd replace springs and clutch basket assembly. I also got a new shifter and adjustment rod as well.

Only ever fixed one Yam selector problem and it was the starwheel 3 come loose. It was doweled onto the shift drum and the dowel holes had stretched, asked the local Yam dealer, and he told me to take up the slop with "plastic metal" I was a bit dubious if it would work, but the owner never complained of problems again.

Well I've ordered a new shaft and starwheel and pretty much the whole get up. Figured if I'm going to do it I'll do it all. I plan on keeping it for as long as possible so I don't mind dumping money into it. Thanks! The star wheel is loose in and out but not sloppy in any other direction.

Is the clutch issue fully solved now?

I have yet to install all the parts but will let you know. I'm debating if I should pull the motor and inspect the forks. But I don't know if I want to spend the time doing that.
