ok...ive heard people pay 500-700 for the extended service contract on the raptors. and for the money...that is a hell of a deal since i have heard so many bad things about it (mainly the tranny).....ok..1 question..is the 3yr extended contract the SAME as your 6month warr.? will it cover EVERYTHING the 6month warr did? or will it cover very FEW items like on an extended warr. on a 4wheeler (4x4)

 

I purchased a 3yr Y.E.S. Warranty for $380. It covers everything except normal wear and tear, abuse, neglect, and breakage from racing. You HAVE to maintain it to get coverage. It comes with a maintainance log you have to keep up. (Why wouldn't one maintain a $7000 quad)? I have a great dealer (Mission Yamaha) who stands behind their customers. This seems to be a big factor in getting Yamaha to cover some things. I wonder how many times these broken Raptor transmissions saw full power no clutch shifts? You thrash it, sooner or later it breaks.
