Just bought a '97 warrior and it gives off blue smoke on hard acceleration - almost full throttle. Anyone know what causes this. I did just change the oil and it was about a 1/3 qt. over-filled. I drained it off, I hope that was the reason for the smoke??? Too dark now to see if that took care of the smoke. Looking for advice???

 

BlowBy. Oil pressure. Passing the rings. Burning oil. Out the exhaust. May need new rings, while you are at it replace piston.

 

Put some new rings in it. My 95 Warrior was doing the same. I put new rings in it and no more smoke.
