Does anyone have any info about Croom?(riding area near Tampa FL)

I would like to check it out, but I believe you need a permit(sticker for your ATV) and don't know where to get one. I live about two hours away, so if anyone could give me any info it would be appreciated. Will it be worth the drive?

Thanks

I haven't been to Croom for about 3 or 4 years (don't live in FL anymore), but when I went, they sold the stickers at the gate. It seems like they were $30 or so for a sticker that was good for a year. There are quite a few good trails, but a majority of them are the constant up and down -what do you call them- about 3ft. high and 10ft. apart hills-"swoops" or something like that- which is fine for jumping dirt bikes or sport quads- but it sucks if you just want to trail ride on a utility quad. Things may have changed since then, but it should be worth a trip or two to check it out.

I went to croom when i was down to florida on vacation, The sticker they sell right at the gate i think it was 18$ because they go from june to june and it was like febuary when i was there, I think the normal rate is 28$. It is all whoops on most every trail which is fun on a sport quad but im sure its not on a utility. I went on a week day first and there wasnt too many quads there, then went back sat. and sun. and there was a ton there!! Its fun just to see that many in one area. I went to Croom last year on vacation. It's very busy there especially on weekends. The trails are heavily used and you need to keep your eyes open for other trail users. The best place down there is Ocala National Forest. Ocala is huge and you could get seriously get lost but there's much more room to ride than Croom. I forget the acreage of Croom, but it's small for the amount of riders there and the place gets hammered. Ocala is massive with Power Lines you can ride for miles and so many trails it'll make your head spin!
