My buddy has a Blaster. He's about 5'7, 160 lbs.

it is a great quad. you'll love it. Pick up a uni-filter when you're at the dealer, you'll get better filtration, and you'll gain a little performance.

You'll love the blaster. Even if you don't think its powerful enough, there is a world of performance parts for it. Stock it puts out 17-18hp. A must have is uni or twin air air filter. Reed spacers are cheap and add alot of torque. The best pipe to get (I think) is the power pros. They are $225 in show chrome and are hand made one at a time. You can even choose what color the silencer is. Don't buy anything DG! Most of there parts don't fit without modification and there pipe is only for good sound. Quadfather is right about the brakes. A soon as you get it, pack the rear caliper with waterproof grease, this will keep it working good. Don't fall for those ram valves or rad valves-they don't work. Air box lid vents work real well and are cheap and easy to put in. The only major problem I have encountered was my oil injector. I took mine off because I didn't trust the little plastic gear that runs it.

Great little machines, for the money you cannot go wrong. I'm still amazed at how much of a beating it can take, Keep it clean and maintain it somewhat and it should last for a very long time. The front brakes arent that bad, the back ones are a diffrent story.. And yes they are very fun to ride.
