AC Delco Filter on Raptor
#41
It is longer. That is why I wanted it. I wanted more filtering and oil capacity. It was in a Bosch box and the only number on it is 3323. I looked in 2 different auto parts stores and I did not see any Bosch filters with 5 numbers. I think it crosses with the Fram 7317 but the Fram it about the same size as the OEM Yamaha. The STP filter # S6607 is also about the same size as the Yamaha. All of these are listed for a 97 Mazda MPV with the 3.0 V6 engine. Again, as I stated earlier, save yourself a lot of trouble and do not try the Puralator 14620. It was the first one I tried and it does not tighten up against the block. The large nut on the oil shaft keeps it from sealing against the engine flange and as soon as you turn the engine over, it will pump oil out and it makes a big mess if you don't keep a drain pan under it.

I just checked out the Bosch 3300 and STP S6607 filters at Auto Zone. They look like the exact same filter except the Bosch is black and costs $5.50 while the STP is a nice dark blue and costs only $3.00. Check out the filter comparison I found here that shows a different model of Bosch and STP to be identical inside.
