Tail-Gator Travel Trailer

Tail Gator
Sportster
I have been doing some looking around and also found the sportster series, which seems to be a little better quality, but also more money.
For anyone NOT familiar with the travel trailers they are really cool. They come with a loading ramp and garage area for 2 to 3 quads, and full travel trailers.
Just wondeirng if anyone out there uses one. I'm kinda stuck between the TailGator 255rr and the Sportster 26. The main difference is the tailgator isn't a seperated garage area, so once you pull the quads out of the rv you can reclaim that space for living area.
The Sportster has a nice isolated garage area, however the living area is much smaller.
I'm wondering if carring a couple quads will really effect the sleeping area or not smell wise. I don't want my bed to smell like gas, but yet I really would like to have extra space after I pull the quads out.
Anyone using either of these or a model like them?
Thanks
Brad

I've looked at a bunch of these. They have a lot to offer, but,,they are heavy and an awful lot to haul around. I like the idea, but nothing I've seen is quite right. I've even taken a couple for test drives. At one point we were thinking of getting a tent trailer and parking the quads on top of it! My utility trailer is just so easy to pull, and these things aren't. How about a Hi-Lo that would hold the quads in the "lo" position? Drive them in, lower the roof and take off. I was also thinking of a tent trailer that would hold the quads inside in the folded position. Drive them in, lower the roof and take off. The main thing is weight. My utility weighs about 1,000 lbs. (not much more than a Sportsman) tent trailers are usually under 2,000 lbs. These toy haulers start around 3,500 lbs empty. Add two or three quads, water, groceries, etc. and you are pulling well over 5,000 lbs. That's going to kill anything less than a 3/4 ton pickup. A motorhome pulling a utility trailer is maybe a better way to go. I don't know, I'm so confused.
We're going to Pismo next month, I'm looking for a motel.

I looked at these damn things for over three months. I feel like a friggin salesman on these things. The one I finally purchased was the Rage'n by national RV. You can see it here. Through my search for these things I found out that there is lot of crap out there to stay away from. So far I love this trailer. It's got an excellent floorplan, very sturdy construction, I can tow it with my '00 Z-71 1/2 ton, and I got a good price on it. Anyway, keep your eye out and talk to as many people as you can because some of these trailers are built for crap.
