does grizzly's belt slip easily

That is my greatest concern with the new Grizz too. I have a friend who owns a 00 Kodiak. The belt slips if the machine even sniffs water nearby. I have an auto 500 Arctic Cat and haven't had trouble...yet, but I'm always worried. I like the fact that AC offers its top model in auto or manual and I think all companies should do that. If there was one thing I'd want on the new Grizz it would be a manual tranny, but I'm still stoked to get my hands on one ASAP!

He had it apart a couple times. Ended up snorkeling it, but the week before he did, we went through a deep hole. I went through fine. We ended up having to tip his bike over to get to the screw to drain the belt drive about 5 times. He wasn't happy. Don't know if he had a chance to test the snorkel set up yet.

I have a 2000 Grizz with 3000km's on it, and have not had a hickup. It is a basic design with not much to go wrong with. Now for water i've had it float and have not sucked in any water. The one time I got caught in some current and it brought me into 6ft of water and it rolled upside down so of course the machine was full everywhere, when I got it back on land I took my tool out from under the seat and took out the drain plug and let the water out, try that with a sporstman. Anyhow there was water in the oil so I did not even try to start it. Changed the oil twice and it was fine. My fault for this. They car not canoes, so now i've learnt my lesson to test before entering and don't go where there is current. Other than that i've hit 2 ft water at 60km's an hour and never got a drop in. The 99-2001 is exactly the same bike which is rock tough. My dad just bought a 2002 kodiak with 27 inch black waters, and he loves it but it doesn't have the power like I do.
That new Grizz looks awesome but I bet the real price will be around 95-10.000 CAN.
Hope this helps.
