As far as the reverse wire goes... would a good solder job work as well?
This seems like it would be a little easier or at least less time consuming (5 mins. versus 10 mins.... not like either is that bad though.)

I dont know, no one I know of has ever tried it. I would do it the way I said because it never hurts to take a little more time to do it the way that is known that works. Just my opinion though.

I'll agree w/ that to an extent. The only problem w/ everyone doing it the same ways is that this keeps a better method from being found (if a better method exists.) Unfortunately I don't know enough about this stuff to try these ideas, w/o getting input from others first. I would hate to solder the thing and find out that doing so screwed something else up.
