Backcountry:

Are you saying the Klotz Techniplate has the Castor smell? Is it a Synthetic or a Castor/Synthetic blend?

What ratio should I use in my Banshee?

Can I also use it in my Blaster and Sport 400's Oil Injection Systems?

Thanks!

Listen, just buy two damn block off kits for the Blaster and the Polaris...Then you just dump the same damn batch of oil into all 3 machines. There, problem solved.

I agree with MX fullbore.

Why worry with 2 different systems? I'm reminded of soemthing my high school teacher taught me.....KISS

When I had my Blaster that was the first thing to come off and go into the garbage! I don't trust a machine to mix my oil. I have seen them fail on more than one occasion. Plus it gives you more choices and mixing ratios.

Rob,

Klotz Techniplate is a full synth....

It is pre-mix AND injection oil...

Banshee 32:1. 40:1 tops...

Has that "racy" castor smell...Dyed red too so you can see if it is mixed!!!

www.klotzlube.com About $35 a gallon, orders over $50 get free shipping.

Backcountry:

Thanks for the info!

I will give it a try.

Fullbore:

While I agree it would be much more convinient to remove the oil injector kits on the Sport 400 and Blaster, I really hate to do that since my wife rides the Sport and my 11 y/o son rides the Blaster. Neither are mechanically inclined and I would hate to have them "forget" about adding pre-mix oil to the gas anytime they fueled their quads without me present. It is much more reliable for me to check their oil injector bottle levels every couple of rides.

Even so, thanks for your reply!

Well then, sounds like Klotz is the way to go then. I also saw some other stuff in my local small gas mechanic, cant remember much about it. I'm going over there today so I will see. Anyway, you'll be happy w/ Klotz, I love riding behind that stuff.

I was just on the Internet and located a company that makes three different types of synthetic oils, one of which is a Pre-Mix / Injector combo.

These three are:

Amsoil 2000, Synthetic at 100:1

Amsoil Synthetic Pre-Mix/Injector

Amsoil Synthetic at 50 to 1

Does anyone know anything about these oils? Do they have that Castor smell when used?

Thanks!
