Get the 400ex. You don't need reverse. Its got enough power to just cut a donut and spin her around.

I had a new Warrior before I bought my new 400EX, so I have experience with both. They are both great bikes, with their own personalities. The warrior is great for the trails, and little hills, and mud. If you have any asperation of getting on a track, then the 400 is definately a better choice. I sold my Warrior because I wanted to ride on the track, too. I do a lot of desert and trial riding on my 400, and it's a wonderful trial bike! The seat isn't as comfy or cushy as the Warrior, but I don't mind because I don't sit much, anyway. Reverse was nice, but honestly, I don't miss it. We don't have a lot of mucky stuff here in the desert though, so I don't have to worry about what I am stepping in when I do have to back my bike out.

Either bike will be a good bike, and I know you will have fun on whatever you get. But I got the Honda for better performance and track handling abilities.

Man you have two remember that with the $700 you could buy a pipe ,kn filter and jetts new tires and some other nice extras. Then you will have a Quad that would probaly beat a 400ex and it's more tricked out so you have that better looks. You won't be able to get much out of the handling but still i mean i can go with any 400ex so there's nothing it's going to do than much better it all come down to rider skills.
And the warrior can go threw about anything and still keep coming.

<< I agree with Blaster96 and Wildturkey,

It all depends on the on what you like to do. 400ex is a good quad, based on the opinions of those who have owned both or one. But to make a long story short. I go back to my first statement. It is all based on what you like to do.

But on the other hand make sure you weight the variables.

400ex - Faster, better suspension, good in trails and on the MX track, very reliable.....But no reverse and believe me real men need reverse, esp for tough trails that only go one way.

Warrior- Slower but still pretty fast, alright suspension, good in trails, not so good on track, very reliable.......Has reverse and a few hundred dollars cheaper

I really would like to know why you need REVERSE on a ONE WAY trail. If it is one way, why back up??? I've honestly only had 2 times in 1 year where I would have liked reverse...and yes, I did make it without reverse.

All right people we all are most adults.

No one ever said you couldn’t make it without reverse. The whole entire point is that reverse is a convinence and in my mind it is well worth it. Just like with what I said before weigh the factor and find out what works best for you and no one else.

Oh, granted majority of all trails is one way, but you miss the point. The point being, (picture this in your head) you are riding with a good, basically racing through the woods, and you run off the trial. All around you thick brush or trees close together and in front of you trees again. So what you do on this one-way trail. The Warrior and Raptor will back out and be on its way again. According on how fast you were going when you ran off the trail, you may be deep into this brush so, without that reverse you just might lose a couple of minutes instead of 20-30 seconds, getting off your quad and trying to muscle it out of the brush. But what ever rocks your boat.

So before anyone responds, don't take what I say personal. It is all in my opinion and it makes a world of sense to me and to all others that like to have reverse. But and listen to what I say, you do not need reverse, again I repeat, you do not need reverse, But again it is a wonderful convinence.

So that is my opinion, it is not the law.

Oh yeah I use to own a Tecate-4, and I knew for a fact I could whip it around in tight situations, but not in deep mud. Got tight for money got sold got a poky Mojave. Feel in love with reverse. Know I have one of the fastest and arguably the best all around quad and guess what it has reverse. End of story, and I thank you all for reading.

Have a nice day.
