hey guys im lookin for a new quad and i cant decide between a warrior or a 400ex.i know that the warrior has reverse and the 400ex doesnt , but does that make a really big difference? how about top speed , does the 400ex blow the warrior away? and how handling and suspension and all that other stuff.im just intersested in which is the best deal, cuz im having a bitof trouble tring to come up with the money for a 400ex and i want to know if its as good as it s price says it is.

the 400EX is better at everything. and also the reverse is really no big deal. real men don't need reverse. the speed, handling, power, and suspsension are so much better than a warriors. i have ridden both and i can tell you if you ride a 400 then get onto the warrior you'll wonder where all the power went. trust me on this one. get the 400 you won't regret it.

I found that question pretty funny. Considering that for $700 more (new), you can get twice the quad, it'd be stupid to even consider a Warrior. Trust me, I used to own one, then I rode a 400ex. That was the end of the Warrior. I wasn't able to get a 400ex for myself (lack of money), but now I have something that's even faster. But you should definitely get a 400ex, its way better than a Warrior. Or just wait for Suzuki's and Honda's new sport models to come out sometime later this year hopefully.

I agree the warrior is slacking behine the 400ex.
It all depends on what you want. I have ridden a 400ex that would not hardly make it up a hill. Then i hopped on a warrior, and BOOM. Straight up. The 400EX has the H.P. and the warrior has the torque. I love the way the warrior ride through deep slow going trails. And the 400EX love the open MX park. It is more for what you want to do with the quad...

With out a dought buy the 400ex. Its a better machine alround. Honda resale is much great (for the future when ur ready to upgrade again.) I have a warrior and if i had the money the 400 ex would be my machine of choice

I wouldn't trade my Warrior for a 400ex. No way. BUT for the kind of riding we do, our Warriors are great. If we were more into the high jumping, MX-like riding, then yes, a 400ex would probably be the better choice. The Warrior is an indestructable tank, that will live through just about anything. The 400ex, in time, will most likely prove to be just as reliable. Both Honda and Yamaha build quality machines. If you are interested in stuff like top speed, jumping, and superior handling, which it sounds like you are, then you should just hold out a little bit longer, save the few extra bucks, and get the 400ex.

I agree with Blaster96 and Wildturkey,
It all depends on the on what you like to do. 400ex is a good quad, based on the opinions of those who have owned both or one. But to make a long story short. I go back to my first statement. It is all based on what you like to do.
But on the other hand make sure you weight the variables.
400ex - Faster, better suspension, good in trails and on the MX track, very reliable.....But no reverse and believe me real men need reverse, esp for tough trails that only go one way.
Warrior- Slower but still pretty fast, alright suspension, good in trails, not so good on track, very reliable.......Has reverse and a few hundred dollars cheaper

scraptor i have ridden on many trails in my life and i have never been on one where you would absolutly need reverse. i'm sure there are some like that but most of the time you won't need it. the warrior is a nice quad but the 400 is just so much better.
