I took down a pipe line today and the thing kept sputtering mainly when in 4x4. So I desided that it was from water spraying up on the spark plug. So I started with filling the wire with dielectric grease (vasaline will work also) then I took a rubber mud flap and cut to the shape I needed. I went from the plastic on the fenders, behind the shocks, and tied off to the frame just on the back side of the radiator. I did this on both sides and then I put a peace across the frame behind the steering shaft. Seems to be working, also it mite be the stator getting wet, but this will protect it also.

I had mentioned before the sputtering on the Griz may be the spark plug in need of some dialectric grease. I had to do that to the Kodiak and it quit sputtering in water, redo it every 3-4 months. That 45 degree tilted engine makes it a little vulnerable to water but it's a simple fix.
