Old Grizz vs New Grizz
#1
My 4 buddies and I went for a 45 mile ride on Sunday. There was my 99 Grizz, 2002 Grizz, 2002 Sportsman HO, 2001 Rubicon and a 2001 Prairie 300. I couldn't figure out how they could loose me so fast, I couldn't keep up. UNTIL I rode the 2002 Grizz and the Sportsman! What a difference. Very smooth. I didn't want to give them back. My 99 was beating the hell out of me, the Blackwater XTs made it that much worse. TERRIBLE! It was difficult to keep it on the trail at 35 mph. ( These are old rail road beds, very flat and straight, Not very dangerous except for the dust! AND WE ALL WEAR HELMETS!)
All in all it was a good day. The Rubi rolled over when climbing a hill, minor damage to the machine, NO damage to the owner(Which is always good). The Sportsman was driven onto the trailer and then the owner forgot about hitting the brakes and drove it right of the trailer into the back of my truck. ( He said he didn't even think about hitting the brake..LONG DAY!) He was OK also, we just had to tip the machine back on it side. A lot of laughs from the people in the parking lot.
So, I sold my 99 Grizzly last night for $3800 including the new ITPs
It was to a work aquaitance, so they got a good deal. The good news is I pick up my RED 2002 on Friday. The new Grizz's are very scarce! Some advice from the local dealers..Sell your 99 Grizz before the New Grizzlys are readily available. The 99 will be worth a lot less after. He said the same thing happened to the Kodiak when the revamped it. (Don't know to much about that..)
WISH ME LUCK!!
